I Can't Believe I Wrote The Whole Thing!

I somehow, through the grace of something, managed to finish my NaNoWriMo goal one day early!  I am just absolutely stunned that I kept up with the writing all month, and I woke up today determined to finish before work tonight.  Here I am, a proud winner of 2010 NaNoWriMo.  Now I can put up my Christmas decorations, clean up the house, and dive into more books.

Thanks to everyone who commented on my posts about this test of endurance this month.  And thanks to Bud, for being supportive and not being around much so I could come home and type all night!  That sounds weird, I know, but I seriously doubt I would have finished if my sweetie had been here.  He's kind of a distraction--but in a very very good way.

Off to have a celebratory lunch!  Woohoo!!

  6. Well done Sue. When do we get to read it? Or at least hear a synopsis. C'mon, it's not like we're going to steal your ideas or nuthin'.

    (OK, it's exactly like that.)

    Oh and hooray for Sue!

PS Among the things you now have time for is reading Irreverent Magazine. Whoa! Who put that shameless plug in there?

  7. Funny funny Ty. Trust me, I'll tell you about the story, and you will decline to steal my idea. Really.

Thank you all for your comments! I'm still amazed I could do it--and if I can, you can too! Here's to next year's NaNoWriMo!

  9. Congratulations my friend! I knew you'd do it! I'm with the rest... now it's time to go out and get it published! (I'd also love to hear all about it)

It sounds like you enjoyed the process and that you had a true sense of satisfaction when all was said and done. For me at least, that's what a challenge is all about.

Hope you had a delish celebratory lunch! Shouldn't every accomplishment be celebrated with food?? I know it is in my world!

    Have a great week!
    Martha
