Funky Flowers

I have been taking pictures of the flowers in my yard for the past few years using a special "tool" along with my camera.  It's been lots of fun and I can't wait to take more this summer.  But for now, this is the first batch of spring flowers:  can you guess what they are?

Here's what they really look like:

  1. Beautiful shots... i love the funky tool you get to use with your camera... now I am wondering if I have a kaleidoscope feature on my camera! I have to look now, don't you know!!! LOL!

    1. It's not a setting on my camera, but golly wouldn't that be great! It's actually a small kaleidoscope Bud got for Christmas a few years ago. I hold it up to the camera lens, get my shot, then take a photo. It's very awkward and I could use another hand for it. But it takes really cool pictures!

  2. How cool is that? I think the first and second are my favorites, but I've always been a little partial to purple. (and I just realized that I have no idea why...)

Is it a setting/mode on the camera or a separate lens? Like Tracy, I'm feeling an urge to do a little exploring now on my own camera. I've had the darn thing for quite a while now and I'm still finding things I didn't know about. LOL

Can't wait to see more cool shots as new little beauties pop up in your garden! Will there be veggies too?

I don't know about the veggies just yet. That is a great idea! Like I told Tracy, it's actually a kaleidoscope I use for the pictures. It's a small wooden one that Bud got for Christmas a few years ago. I put it up to the camera lens, find my shot then take the pictures. It's a lot of fun!
