Crappity Crap Weather!

Be still my beating heart--it's not going to rain today.  It is, however, staying in the 40's for temps.  Really, Mother Nature?  You couldn't throw us a bone, and get it into the 50's?

Bud is coming over for dinner tonight, and we may or may not drink some wine.  If we do drink some wine, I need to get in a run before dinner.  Why?
Get this here

Of course, the best weather day is Friday.  And Friday, I will be up uber early to watch the royal wedding.  Yep.  I think probably 4 AM.  Then I hope to meet C-Joy and her sister at The Londoner sometime that day to watch more on TV and drink some hard cider.  I will need to run that day, since it will be sunny and in the 60's!  Can I do it on no sleep at all?

And I've only used my Garmin twice, but I can tell you I love it.  Uploading the info online gives me so much information about my run it's mind boggling.  It is probably one of the best gifts I've ever gotten and I will definitely use it every time I go out for a run. I can also use it indoors, it just doesn't kick in the GPS; it keeps my pace and time.  The countdown to the 5K is on, and quite frankly, I am a bit panicked.  The next few weeks will be full of running running running.  Then a few short weeks later, I have the Run the Flood 7 Miler; instead of working on getting through 3 miles, I have to work on running 7-8 miles instead.

Tomorrow is my last Tai-Chi class.  I have to make time for running, and give Zumba a try--we'll see how I feel bustin' a latin groove in front of a bunch of women who will certainly have more grace than me.  Then, if I learn some good moves, I will dazzle Bud some hot Latin wiggling.

  1. We've had some strange weather. Thunder boomers at night, rain in the early a.m. and then sun popping in and out the rest of the day. Temps have been from the low 40's to mid 70's. I think we even hit 74 yesterday.

Honestly, I think you're doing really well with your training. Especially now that you have the Garmin to help you with your pace. I predict you're gonna kick some serious 7 miler a$$!

Wow... Your last Tai Chi class, eh? Um, I don't know if I told you or not, but I'm going to be "living Zumba" vicariously through you! No pressure though, OK?! LOL

Have a great rest of the week!

  2. My mom and I are going to watch the Royal Wedding together. :) We have it all planned out. Of course, Dad and BFF think we've lost our minds. Hey, it's history, it's romantic, and it's Diana's son. 'Nuff said. ;)

I can't wait to see her wedding gown!

  4. Alex: The Garmin is a watch you wear when you run that keeps track of your mileage, pace, and with GPS, where you are at. Mine is the simplest one, others are bigger and more expensive and have more bells and whistles. You upload your runs to Garmin Connect and it keeps track of everything for you, and you can see your progress. It's pretty cool!
